Brittany Bromfield, MD, is Research Associate at the Harvard/MGH Center on Genomics, Vulnerable Populations, and Health Disparities. She holds a medical degree with Distinction from the University of the West Indies and graduated as the valedictorian of her class. Her research interests include social determinants of health, improving cancer research in the Caribbean and health disparities. Since then she has been working with the Jamaica Cancer Care and Research Institute (JACCRI) to developing resource-stratified approaches for palliative care in the Caribbean and serving as Project Manager for our work with the World Health Organization to become a WHO-designated Collaborative Regional Training Center in Palliative Care for the Caribbean.
