On December 5th, 2019, Dr. Alexandra Shields (Center Director) gave the 9th Armand M. Nicholi, Jr., M.D., and Ingrid Nicholi Lecture in Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. The title of her talk was "The Role of Spirituality in Disease Etiology: Results from the Study on Stress, Spirituality and Health." This lecture discussed the conceptual model for our current research in the National Consortium on Psychosocial Stress, Spirituality, and Health concerning the molecular pathways underlying the impact of psychosocial factors on health and health disparities, and also presents preliminary findings from our Center's research.
